The Fitness Circle was founded in 1996 and has grown into one of the UK’s most trusted names in fitness education. They help people who want to become fitness instructors or personal trainers get officially recognised qualifications. These include courses endorsed by CIMSPA and regulated by OFQUAL, covering everything from gym instructing, personal training and nutrition to specialist areas like children’s fitness or exercise to music.

What Was Done

After the UX audit revealed a significant drop in conversion rates on mobile devices, the mobile version was made a priority. Another issue was unclear CTAs and a weak visual hierarchy. We created a clear distinction between primary and secondary elements on the page. In addition, subtle animations and improved graphics were introduced throughout the website.

The Results

These changes nearly doubled the conversion rate. This wasn’t a seasonal effect – the results remained consistent even six months after the redesign was launched.
